Project title: The Urban Sugarcane Plantation, 2009. An Agricultural Urban Land Project. Sugracane plantlets are planetd in streets, low income neighborhoods and backyards where they would naturally grow prior to the current city structure of New Orleans and as an effort to bring agriculture to increase sustainability to local people. Sugarcane has soil binding and soil purifying properties, in addition to providing juice, sugar and fuel.
