Essence of Light, 1997-2003

Essence of Light marks the entry into Senstad's lifelong study of the phenomenology of perceptipon through working with the elements of light, color and sound using phtography, film and the darkroom as tools and medium. The act of seeing is the essence of the very nature of photography, providing optics into the genesis of light, time and form.

Scales vary depending on the particular work in the series: 72 x 72 inches, 60 x 60 inches, 40 x 40 inches and 20 x 20 inches.

The series is represented in numerous private, coprorate and institutional collections internationally.
